I know when a good bit of SONES first heard 'I Got A Boy' they were, at least at first, dissatisfied. It left an initial bad taste in their mouths. The song has a new sound. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it at first. A lot of people have described it as sounding like a few different songs all mashed together. But as time passes SONES like myself are loving it more and more. The beat is infectious and the slowed down parts have great vocals from our favorite members. And the rest have great rap parts, which is a first for our girls. The rap parts also caught me off guard. But that is what makes 'I Got A Boy' the addicting song it is. And from what I've seen it seems like this song is taking the U.S. by storm.
Billboard.com released a track by track review of the entire album. Which seems to be all about praising the girls. What they can do and what they have done. My favorite quote from the entire article is this...

On another blog, MTV to be exact! An entire article was posted just talking about the girls outfits. Apparently they were dressed head to toe in nothing but designer brands. The quote reads
And the article goes on to talk about the different outfits they were wearing in different scenes of the video along with screen shots from it. So while some netizens are still feeling confused about what the girls were wearing it seems MTV has it figured out. I've always felt like designer clothes were a bit extreme. Only now have I seen what happens when you mix designers. It is a bit of a mess. But our girls just have those bodies where no matter what they wear they look good.

The LA times also wrote an article. While it may seem to focus only on criticizing 'I Got A Boy'. I feel like it is , more so, criticizing our generation. We are an impatient bunch who...

So, yet even though this article is not solely focusing on the positive I feel like in the end it presents that this song is progressive and it is a great step forward. Everything must evolve and move forward. I believe this. Let's go ahead and be a little nostalgic but let's keep moving forward into the future. I feel like some people's problem with 'I Got A Boy' is that it moves too fast for them. They just weren't ready for our girls... actually, our women, to move forward. Not a one of them is a teenager anymore. They are all grown women who will continue to grow older and will appreciate the progressive music they are putting out and all they can do is hope that the fans will appreciate it too.

Lastly, I want to talk about something that was not mentioned on an American Blog but on soompi and it has to do with everyone all over the world. The 'I Got A Boy' music video is the fastest in youtube history to hit 10million views.
Honestly, I am not surprised. So many people waited so long for this video and since it was being watched by so many when it came out it probably made the front page so many many other people watched it and in less than 3 days it had been watched over 10 million times. I hope our girls continue to progress and maybe this year they'll have an official U.S. debut. This SONE is always on 소녀시대의 side.
